As a journalist I was a staff writer at VICE for three years. I started there as an intern, writing about dance music and nightlife, before moving into a role as a staff writer at large, covering society, politics and culture. During this time I published pieces on a broad spectrum of subjects – including but not limited to police corruption, community activism, gentrification, regional inequality, universal basic income and exotic animals – alongside essays, interviews, and the odd bit of absolute rot you'd expect from a 23-year-old intern. I also had a weekly politics column during this time and was nominated for a British Society of Magazine Editors award. As a freelance journalist, I’ve had work published by the Guardian, Dazed, the Face, Crack Magazine, Huffington Post and the Outline. I like to think I’ll continue to publish the occasional bit of non-fiction now and again, but for now my attention is elsewhere.
